Mountain Oasis Animal Sanctuary is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating at risk horses from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and the slaughter pipeline.

Our sanctuary horses are the cornerstone of our Horses Healing Hearts Program, aimed at helping human survivors of trauma, domestic violence, and assault overcome their trauma responses and symptoms of PTSD.

With your help, we hope to make a difference in the lives of all survivors - both horse and human.

How We Help

Horse Rescue and Sanctuary

We take in owner surrenders, law enforcement seizures, and intercept horses from entering the kill pen pipeline. We're on a quest to save every horse we can and teach them that humans can be kind

Education and Awareness

We offer free advice on equine nutrition, basic first aid, body mechanics, training, and general welfare to the general public to help ensure all horse owners have the tools to take excellent care of their horsey family members

Horses Healing Hearts Program

Many survivors of trauma and domestic violence find that talk therapy just isn't enough to help them cope with the symptoms of trauma. Horses have an innate ability to teach survivors how to overcome their trauma and thrive in their new lives
